Oamaru Food Forest Project

The Oamaru Food Forest Project is a collaborative initiative to establish fruit, nut & native trees in local park spaces across the Waitaki District.

The project is a joint initiative between Waitaki District Council, Waitaki Community Gardens & The Natural Heritage Society (Transition Town Oamaru). The project began in March 2014, and so far 64 trees have been planted at Duntroon Domain, Holmes Hill Park, Casa Nova Park, Awamoa Park, and on site at the Waitaki Community Gardens.
